I am Jeremy D. Nickens, the author of Two Sides One Face. My journey began four years ago, at a time when I was working as an EMT at Riderwood's retirement home. During my long overnight shifts, I found solace in writing, which became a refuge and a way to express my thoughts. I possess a vivid imagination, inspired by creative writing classes and my love for reading.  I cherish the Bible, and books by J.K. Rowling, and James Patterson.

My curiosity led me to explore the Apocrypha, the hidden passages of the Bible that speak of the battle between flesh and spirit. This discovery sparked a deep fascination within me, making me wonder how these spiritual battles play out in our everyday lives. I began to research intensely and poured my heart into writing, blending realism with fantasy.

My most cherished moments were sharing my project with my grandma.  She’d read and edit what I’d written. Her kind reassurance and encouragement meant the world to me, especially since she has always inspired my love for reading. Her support has motivated me to pursue my dream of writing this book.

I shared my transcript with my mom. She suggested I reach out to my aunt, Dr. Gloria Hill-Murray, who had found success publishing her own book. I contacted my aunt, and she introduced me to Amecha De Sha, her publisher, who has been instrumental in guiding me through the publishing process.

Thanks to her support and belief in my vision, my book was published on October 6th. Now, I am excited to work on Part 2 of this journey. Writing continues to fuel me, and I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support from my family and friends. Most importantly, I thank my Lord, without His guidance and strength, none of this would be possible. This is only the beginning of a continuing journey of growth, faith, and hope.
